Titans Assemble/Go!

so cartoon network & warner bros. have dropped both the Teen Titans series & the Justice League Unlimited series, in spite of a huge audience & growing popularity. there are conflicting accounts of why this exactly is, but i don't feel like going into the few i've found on the internet right now. however, i assume in large part to the huge success of the DCAU, The Batman, & Titans DVD sales, we will see more from both the Titans & the DCAU.

Teen Titans Tokyo is a movie in the works that will be aired on Cartoon Network (see Newsarama's report on the 2006 Cartoon Network Upfront). the synopsis to the movie is as follows:

When a high-tech ninja attacks Titans Tower, Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Raven and Beast Boy spring into action. Robin finds out the ninja was sent by a mysterious and menacing Japanese criminal known as Brushogun, and the Teen Titans travel to Tokyo to track the villain down. Teen Titans Tokyo will air in late fall.

'Brainiac Attacks' is a brand new direct-to-dvd Animated Superman movie
slated to come out some time this year. world's finest has a new cover image of the dvd & a link to the trailer on the WB website. Not sure when in the DCAU timeline it takes place. The third/final volume of the animated Superman series is also slated to come out either this month or next.

One last thing:

Bootlegs for the final/current season of JLU, featuring the Legion of Doom (Bwahaha!), are floating around. Saw one at New York ComiCon & on eBay. Expect full reviews of both this season & eventually the current one, spoilers abound (because i like to make you miserable by making yr life better).

in unrelated news, Adult Swim is now considered an entirely seperate network from Cartoon Network.
